Certainly blood and bruises and certainly a different era of wrestling, a time when it was a side job for most and a living for a few, when the sport was much more banal and raw and to many fans very real and personnel. Figures like Haystack Calhoun, Bruno Sammartino, superstar Billy Graham, Argentina Rocca, Killer Kowalski and the career start of a Frenchman, Andre Rene Roussimof performing as Andre the Giant. The fans would pile in night after night, carrying 8×10 glossies ready to be signed, wearing t-shirts displaying without a doubt their star and personal champion, ready to scream themselves hoarse, cry and cheer living in the moment as if it where the final curtain. Intense, personal and raw was wrestling in 1976.
